Volunteers


Many groups and individuals provide help year after year. The Taste of Park Ridge is most appreciative of that help. Many of those groups and individuals will be contacted personally to confirm participation in this year’s event.

For those who have not heard from us by June 1 or if you are new to volunteering with us we suggest you contact us at the e-mail provided below.

Interested Volunteers may contact Taste of Park Ridge Committee Member (Volunteer Subcommittee Chair) Franklin Ramirez at franklin.ramirez@me.com. Please title your email TOPR VOL (please use that exact title so Franklin can quickly find your message).

We ask that your volunteer commitment be at least a minimum of one full shift to assist us in scheduling. The shifts are the following times on all three days of the event: 11am-1pm; 1pm-4pm; 4pm-7pm; 7pm-10pm; 10pm-Midnite.

(Note: 10pm-Midnite is a Green Team shift to assist in cleanup of grounds and removal of refuse to the large dumpsters)

We also request that you arrive about 10 minutes prior to your scheduled shift to sign in with our volunteer coordinator and receive your assignment. It also is a way to respect the fellow volunteer you are relieving on the shift.

Areas of volunteer assistance are the following.

Refreshment server (must be over 21 and sign a legal release form).
Ticket Seller (must be 18 and older).
Green Team hospitality corps (table and ground maintenance and refuse removal) (all ages – groups are encouraged to participate).

Please note, we will try to accommodate your preference but may also assign duties where the need is greatest. We only ask what we are willing to do ourselves, so do not be surprised to see an orange shirted committee member, serving refreshments, selling tickets, or hauling garbage to the dumpsters. We are volunteers and operate with the motto: whatever it takes to accomplish the task! We thank you in advance for sharing that same level of commitment in your volunteering!
